Periodontology

Periodontal diseases are infections existing in the form of inflammatory lesions affecting all or part of supporting structures of the tooth. They are characterized by the progression of the inflammation in apical direction, introduced and kept by a virulent bacterial flora and leading more or less quickly to the the periodontical tissues destruction. Evolution of the periodontology knowledge has considerably modificated treatments and prognosis of periodontal diseases. Thus, we will use treatment tecnics from medical periodontitis, giving priority to non-surgical schemes which are less invasives and agressives.
